automatic weight and balance calculation with taking into account the aircraft hierarchy and the role status of the AC

The A330 MRTT lives from his flexibility and the different roles how the AC can be operated. Role changes have always impact on the weight and balance and causes additional work in the system.  My idea is: it should be possible to link or add the weight of the equipment directly to the PN in the model structure. With this information, the system can calculate the weight and balance automatically, every time I perform a role change or remove or install a (new) equipment.

    Hi,

    Thank you for taking the time to provide your ideas to IBM. Unfortunately, after evaluating this idea, we don’t believe it aligns with our product strategy and roadmap. Therefore, we will not be considering it for inclusion in our product at this time. Thank you again for your feedback.

    1. Weight & Balance - enhancement to allow for lateral W&B recording / validation and enhance existing capability to support automated W&B changes based on predefined weight and positions, including:

      1. Moment to be associated with a Build Position in Model.

      2. Datum point to be defined in Model

      3. Weight to be associated with a CM Item (Part) and applied to associated assets.

      4. W&B tolerances to be configurable per Model

      5. Validation calculation to be automated and include both long and lat points based on predefined weights and positions.
