If a work log should not be added for a Service Request that is in history then it is expected that option of adding a work log to such Service Requests should be disabled or made read-only instead of allowing it first and then throwing a System Message.

In the Maximo (7.6.1.2) Service Requests Role-based application, in the "Completed Requests" page, when a work log is being added to an existing Service Request that is in Cancel or Closed status a system message is displayed with the message "Ticket SR-XXXXX is in history and must remain unchanged. BMXAA4301E". 

If a work log should not be added for a Service Request that is in history then it is expected that option of adding a work log to such Service Requests should be disabled or made read-only instead of allowing it first and then throwing a System Message.

    This idea should be addressed to Maximo Mobile, to be implemented on SRMOBILE application. Marked it as "Will not implement", and will promote the new one under Mobile to an epic
