ReqIF to work in a GC world without (fine grained) component limitations

The tool shall support cross-component export package definition (in global context) as a kind of global ReqIF (or exchange) manager - maybe in several steps:

  1. Enhancement of today's DNG functionality to work cross-component (include outgoing links of the module in the ReqIF definition not only if target in same component, but in different component)

  2. ReqIF working in GC context like “global” ReqIF definitions that can include modules / content from different components (probably in same GC context) and produce a ReqIF file that is independent of the structure that is used in ELM (GC, components, …) - of course also ReqIF import would need to support split of ReqIF packages into components

  3. ReqIF definitions shall still be baselined, ..., but as a separate part/contributor of the GC baseline (means that you can create updated definitions even for DNG content which is already baselined)

  4. Such kind of "exchange manager" shall not be restricted to DNG data / ReqIF export / import, but could be enhanced for e.g. ETM data

  5. the package definition shall support a kind of aggregation feature to treat content of linked artifacts as attribute during export

Similar functionality is available from IBM Business Partner REQUISIS. The product is called ReqIF-Manager.
