Permanently remove archived project areas

Problem Statement:

The presence of data from archived project areas in the database is impacting server performance. This obsolete or less frequently accessed data consumes storage and processing resources, potentially slowing down queries and overall system efficiency. A solution is needed to optimize database performance by handling archived project data more effectively.

Solution(s):

  1. Option to purge project area data from database. Option to purge archived project areas. Permanently delete project area data from database.

  2. Option to move data of non active project areas' as markdown for PA's with longer GDPR.

  3. Host markdown with links intact under web server.

Benefit:

  1. Indexing would be faster.

  2. Performance naturally increases as the non-usable data is deleted.

  3. Non Active PA data is outside database, probably hosted as markdown further reducing size of data.

    As part of the review process, we strive to be transparent about our intentions with each enhancement suggestion. The IBM Engineering team has carefully reviewed this idea, and based on our understanding, there is quite a few implications and it caries significant risks that can not be contained in our 18-24 months plans.
