Improved User access/Licensing reports within the Jazz Administration User Interface

As An IBM Business partner, we work with organisations who access IBM ELM through SaaS subscription, perpetual licenses and token licenses. A common suggestion from all our customers is that it would really very useful for ELM administrators (SaaS and Perpetual/On Premise) to be able to access the following metrics via the Jazz Server Administration page.

  • Total Active/Inactive/Archived Users.

  • Max Concurrent Users per day.

  • Max Concurrent Users per hour.

  • Which artifacts/project area each user accessed.

If this information could be displayed graphically within the Administration pages, or reported on through custom reports in Report Builder, that would excellent!
Alternatively if the information could exported/downloaded to CSV or excel for external reporting that would also be acceptable.

The reason this would be useful (particularly for SaaS customers, who cannot use the License Key Reporting tool) is that, organisations that are delivering multiple projects, with different numbers of users assigned to each project, often share the cost of their licenses across several different internal project budgets.
The ability to identify how many users have accessed the tools over a specific date range as well as which artifacts/projects the users accessed would allow the ELM administrators to report internal costs for each project and highlight when/if additional licenses are required.

As part of the review process, we strive to be transparent about our intentions with each enhancement suggestion. The IBM Engineering team has carefully reviewed this idea, and based on our understanding, it does not fit our plans. Your request is to implement metrics for IBM Engineering SaaS solution which are different compared with the IBM Engineering licensing. These metrics are addons on the IBM Engineering solution, part of IBM Engineering SaaS solution. If you are interested to get metrics for your specific clients, please work with the local tech team.

Although we are closing this request, it will be kept in IBM's ideas repository.  We value your feedback and thank you for allowing us to partner with you in developing our products.
