By default all search should initially contain the *

When a query window pop up, like steam section etc

the field is blank and to see any stream we need to enter * and press enter.

This cause the user to leave the mouse and use the keyboard.

 

What we ask is to simply have the * the field, so we could click on the search button.

If we need something else, we would do has usual and enter a string.

    As part of the review process, we strive to be transparent about our intentions with each enhancement suggestion. The IBM Engineering team has carefully reviewed this idea, and based on our understanding using '*' as a default for all searches could have performance implications. Therefore, the wide open search is discouraged and this idea is declined. Although we are closing this request, it will be kept in IBM's ideas repository.  We value your feedback and thank you for allowing us to partner with you in developing our products.
