Allow Custom spec/meta/annotations for backing pods

The AI Hub operator controls the deployments and the backing pods. The ability to add overrides to those pods allows the system administrator to be able to configure the pods to the environment they are in.

 

Specific use cases include:

  • adding custom labels for custom service selectors
  • adding definitions for DNS and Hostnames at the pod level(will be required for any SaaS/MS like implemention or private DNS in general)
  • adding custom pod-to-node scheduling options.

This is supported by major operators such as Kubegress(a postgres operator), the AWX automation operator and many others.
