As part of the review process, we strive to be transparent about our intentions with each enhancement suggestion. The IBM Engineering team has carefully reviewed this idea, and based on our understanding, it does not fit our near-term plans. Although we are closing this request, it will be kept in IBM's ideas repository. We value your feedback and thank you for allowing us to partner with you in developing our products.

Thanks for the information, yes, sharing a solution directly under the sandbox from the Solution Explorer is not supported. It was designed this way so that users could just share projects without needing to share the solution (ref https://jazz.net/library/article/674). However, you can share the .sln file from the Sandbox Explorer. We recognize the limitation though, see story 381312 comment 4 and would consider changing the design to accommodate this scenario.

We are creating the solution directly under the sandbox i.e. C:\Sandboxes\sandbox1\Project.sln

Note: Sandbox location and SLN file name are dummy for illustration purposes only.

By design, this should work. We would need more details here. Say your sandbox is C:\Sandboxes\sandbox1, and you create a solution under a folder in the sanbox, say C:\Sandboxes\sandbox1\Solution1\Solution1.sln, sharing the solution will cause the entire folder C:\Sandboxes\sandbox1\Solution1 to be shared under Jazz Source Control. Let us know if your use case is different, for example, you might be creating the solution outside the sandbox, or you might be creating the solution directly under the sandbox (and not in a folder).
