How to Filter a Plan Using a Customised Attribute

We have created an attribute called Project ID and would like to use this attribute to limit the scope of a plan.

If we open a Plan and then expand Plan Details, we can see Plan Scope. We would like to use our customised attribute Project ID here. However, when you hover the curser above the “Plan Scope” field, the pop up states that only attributes "Type", "State" or "Filed against" can be used here.

We would like to be able to use a customised attribute to limit the Plan Scope.

See attached file.

As part of the review process, we strive to be transparent about our intentions with each enhancement suggestion. The IBM Engineering team has carefully reviewed this idea, and based on our understanding, even though the request aligns with our modernization vision but is unlikely to be addressed in the near-term due to other higher priority items on the Backlog. Although we are closing this request, it will be kept in IBM's ideas repository. We value your feedback and thank you for allowing us to partner with you in developing our products.

RFE Review board looked at this and decided to leave it in the product backlog. It has been linked to a feature work item in our product backlog.

We use one RTC project for a team of people who work not only on multiple product projects in parallel, but also in parallel on multiple phases within those product projects.

We would like the ability to plan activities for multiple projects and project phases in one sprint, but would, for example, also like to be able to look at the plan for a specific project or a specific phase within a project, or the same phase for multiple projects.

    - What is the purpose of the custom attribute? All the items in the plan would be in the same project area, does this attribute have values that would be different from the current project area of the work item?
