RELATED IDEAS

Please provide a feature that query work items by selecting tags from check box in Team Concert.

We need a feature that query tags by selecting check box in query condition editor.
Currently, there is no such feature in Rational Team Concert.
However, JIRA has a such feature.

Check box user interface is very helpful when user wants to query work items by tags which user does not know.

    As part of the review process, we strive to be transparent about our intentions with each enhancement suggestion. The IBM Engineering team has carefully reviewed this idea, and based on our understanding, even though the request aligns with our modernization vision but is unlikely to be addressed in the near-term due to other higher priority items on the Backlog. Although we are closing this request, it will be kept in IBM's ideas repository. We value your feedback and thank you for allowing us to partner with you in developing our products.

    The query editor already shows the list of corresponding tags as soon as the user starts typing a tag name in the value field. Then, the user can select the tag from the list. Would you agree this behavior meets the need of the use case 2 ?
    For use case 1, it seems unpractical to show the full list of tags when the number start to grow over 20 or so. What would you recommend when you have a large number of tags such as 100 or more?

    Marking as an uncommitted candidate until we can triage it further. Current query support provides field selection mechanism. We should look at this as part of a UI refresh/design approach.
