Command to fetch adapter status Green or Red

For complete automation purpose, teams are looking for an api or command that gets adapter status which is already displayed as green or red in RQM when we chose the machine to run the test on. currently it is so happening that when test is triggered from RQM it choses the machine but there is no means to check if adapter running hence there is lot of bench or machine time wasted which finally doesn't give any output. hence need a command or api using which we can read the status of the machine if adapter is running or not and then take next course of action.
