RTC Query using clause "Exists" on Work Item List type of the attribute shows the work item which does not even have the association

We have a work item named Release We have an attribute of type "Work Item List" with the feature work item This attribute is used to associate the Release work item with the Feature work item Now, If i try to run a query on the "Work Item List" type of attribute using the clause "Exist", It shows me a work item which does not have it I have tried to perform an attribute sync. Performed some changes and saved the work item from one state to another Also, tried to link and unlink that work item with a release work item But still no luck.

    - The EWM RFE Review board has reviewed this request.
This RFE reads like a defect or could be a mis-understanding of what “Exists” is checking for. “Exists”, in this context, is checking for whether the work item has the attribute, not whether the attribute has a non-empty value.
Pl. refer to attached screen shots:
Screenshot 1: In this screenshot, 4306 is included in the query results because it was created after the attribute was added to the Defect work item type. So it “has” the attribute, even though it doesn’t have a non-empty value for the attribute.
Screenshot 2: Running a different query we can see that the previous query has indeed excluded items. The work item type Task doesn’t have the attribute, aka the attribute doesn’t exist for the Task work item types, so is excluded when the query included the “Exists” clause.
