Please provide a feature that can create link by using OSLC asset management from work item.

We would like to create traceability to PLM objects such as parts/assembly information, drawing data and so on from work items on RTC.

An "asset/artifact" is large concept. It includes not only software products, but also buildings, servers, automobiles, pumps, oil wells, etc.

OSLC asset management concept is very useful to create a link to existing data on PLM from work items and other CLM artifacts.

By this feature, we will be able to have traceability cross PLM/CLM and able to do impact analysis cross PLM/CLM.

    As part of the review process, we strive to be transparent about our intentions with each enhancement suggestion. The IBM Engineering team has carefully reviewed this idea, and based on our understanding, it does not fit our near-term plans. Although we are closing this request, it will be kept in IBM's ideas repository. We value your feedback and thank you for allowing us to partner with you in developing our products.

    the RFE Review board looked at this and decided to leave it in the product backlog. It has been linked to a feature work item in our product backlog.

    We provide an OSLC interface to work items that PLM vendors can leverage and provide an adaptor as requested in this RFE.
