This portal is to open public enhancement requests against the products and services belonging to IBM Sustainability Software. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

It is our opinion that ENGEWM-I-388 was closed due to a lack of understanding of the request. EWM currently allows "Aggregate Same Work Item Changes in a Single Email" which is not the function requested (although quite helpful)
Function requested:
Enable email THREADING by using proper 'in-reply-to' headers within EWM's email notifications- consolidating all messages from a particular defect into a threaded chain within the email client so history is easy to follow and messages are kept together.. This behavior was standard in ClearQuest and most other defect/work tracking systems.
Example (Clearquest): Emails are properly threaded based on the In-Reply-To header on each notification being set to the native ClearQuest ID (example: AIXOS000#####)
Example (EWM): Emails are completely standalone in the email client as no In-Reply-To header is set.
As the suggested answer in the previous idea is NOT the same as what was being requested, and due to lack of response to the further information there I feel opening a new request is valid.
