source.epoch/source.timestamp available as a system variables for a z/OS translator

like @{source.version}, is usable for audit/tracing etc, when running zOS translators, the actual changetime of the file, would be more accurate. As the internal epoch time allready is available, and is stored into build maps etc, this can ensure a smooth identification.
Whether the format is in epoch, or in timestamp format, with micro/nanno seconds is less important

.Build map processing is done after the fact - after a translator has completed. Variables are created before a translator has run. And translators are macros that do not share information between each other.

How would you envision using something like this given those limitations?
Or, what are you trying to accomplish?
And, when in the build process?
After the execution of the translator and the time established, within the processing window of that translator?
    In the next translator?
