This portal is to open public enhancement requests against the products and services belonging to IBM Sustainability Software. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

We want to define the work item owner as variable in a work item template. Therefore we modified the work item template xml as follows:
Added the line:
<rtc_cm:WorkItemTemplateParameter id="ownedBy:Contributor" default="" name="User ID"/>
and replaced the ownes of the WIs with this variable:
<rtc_cm:ownedBy rdf:resource="${ownedBy:Contributor}"/>
All looks fine, we can define user id via variable - see screenshot.
But the work item creation dialog never returns and there is no error message.
How can we set the owner as parameter when we create work items via template?
On further discussion with our development teams it was concluded that using 'ownedBy' parameter is not completely supported yet (see: https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/WorkItemTemplates)
Previously some Enhancements as mentioned in the enhancement (https://jazz.net/jazz/web/projects/Rational%20Team%20Concert#action=com.ibm.team.workitem.viewWorkItem&id=366292)
were completed to support other String values (other than filedAgainst or plannedFor), but those just allow us to have a simple replacement of certain text in the Description or Summary.
We still can't add a variable to specify e.g. ownedBy
We have reopened this enhancement and development team will consider to implement in the future release of the product.
