Delete Links between SCM Change sets and Work Items should not be allowed.

The link between an SCM change set and a work item can be deleted even if the change set is delivered and the work item is closed.

It is possible to configure the PAs to get an error when someone tries to deliver a change set without assigning a work item.

But at the same time there is no error/warning when the work item is disconnected afterwards.

Any user may delete the link change set to work item, this right is not restricted to the owner?

If we find an SCM file history with change sets disconnected from work items: how to trace back the reason for this change?

The history of the work item might still show the dependency but how to find the work item from the change set side if the link is gone?

The EWM Ideas Review board looked at this request and decided to keep it on the Backlog as an uncommitted candidate for a future release.
