Links to files or folders under EWM source control shall become meaningful readable.

In the Web UI, you may browse down to a file under SCM. The link shown includes no meaningful information about the file, e.g., the path and file name. It shows only IDs.

If you want to reference this file somewhere, e.g., in a mail or document, you need to follow the link to understand what is really linked.

It would be easier for the users, if there would be a link (URL) which states in readable form the location and name of the linked file or folder.

EWM Ideas review board has evaluated this request. This request is being rejected because the request is not a suitable way to identify files. By default, ids, which never change, are used to identify the file. If the file path and file name which change over time are used to identify the file, it can break the link.
