This portal is to open public enhancement requests against the products and services belonging to IBM Sustainability Software. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

For our processes here at Paccar, we want to restrict the due date attribute from being modified for one particular work item. There are a couple of reasons for this:
"Due Date are used to create burnup chart and it’s a single measure to make sure that we
clearly identify if teams are delayed or were delayed in future.
o This burnup charts are automatically created and updated with due dates.
• It helps in appropriate escalations and monitoring the progress.
• Having the ability to change due dates will forfeit the above purpose because there will be
no check on who is making what edits and why. We will lose track of the original plan.
• Resolution Date and Due date comparison are made to understand how much the team
deviated from the original plan. It helps in retrospective analysis for Project managers and teams to
understand what went wrong in planning/scheduling."
However, due to the nature of the permissions of this attribute, if the permission is restricted, it's restricted for all work items, which is not how we want to operate. We do want to have the ability to change the due date on other work items. So, my proposal would be to have the ability to change the due date permissions based on work item type.
