Baselining of schedule (plan) is currently unavailable in EWm plan. Baselining would allow the date sets previously planned to be made available as records for all future comparison with current set of start and end dates

Baselining is a best practice followed in project management in order to retain data on previously agreed baseline. Current set of dates are compared to the last baseline to show the departure of current plan in comparison to the baseline. This facility is absent. In the past when this query was raised i was told snapshots are working as baselines. However taking snapshot is not the same as baselining as taking a planned or proposed snapshots changes the start date of all activities to one specific date which is today's date. Therefore, there is no option to keep the current set of planned dates for me to use as a baseline and track my schedule changes. You can refer to baselining in Microsoft Project for further details on baselining a project schedule

    We have the functionality of creating snapshots for Plans. They are like baselines and can also be compared with different versions. Some useful links are:
