Please upgrade the suported javascript library version to a most recent version

Currently the javacript version suported by RPE is "ECMA Script 3" which is based on wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ECMAScript_version_history) released by Dec. 1999. The current version is 13 from Jun 2022! We always encounter issues and limitations of the implemented javascript version in RPE. The last issue was a limitation in regexp function when using big content. This caused an exception at runntime. We expect from an upgrade to a most recent version (for sure it has not be the last one) a more stable version with more functionality.

    Thank you for the additional information. PUB RFE review board evaluated this request and it is accepted. PUB 7.0.3 will update the javascript library to Rhino 1.7.12 released in Jan, 2020.
    NOTE that PUB does not provide "ECMA Script 3" directly. "ECMA Script 3" is added when a user installs JavaScript Development Tools (JSDT) which has the default compliance level for ECMAScript set to ECMAScript 3.

    I looked at the provided path but I was not able to find any details about "ECMA Script 3", see my attached image. Could you provide me an image where you have found "ECMA Script 3" information?

    Thank you for submitting idea/RFE. JRS RFE review board evaluated this request and determined it needs additional information which PUB version are you using and where/how you have found information about "ECMA Script 3"?

    PUB 7.0.2 is using Rhino 1.7.2 as JavaScript engine (org.mozilla.javascript (1.7.2.v201005080400) "Mozilla Rhino"). User can find all the details/versions by clicking the "Installation Details" button in Help > About PUB.
