Search for users by name, not ID

In every other part of ELM, a user is searchable by their name (not just their ID). In our organisation, user IDs are just a series of 8 numbers, i.e. 12345678 making it very difficult to share assets reports and documents with specific people. The UI should allow for users to be searched by their actual name, not just user ID to better align with the other ELM tools.

    As part of the review process, we strive to be transparent about our intentions with each enhancement suggestion. The IBM Engineering team has carefully reviewed this idea, and requested additional information. To date, no additional information received and based on our understanding, idea does not fit our near-term plans. Although we are closing this request, it will be kept in IBM's ideas repository.  We value your feedback and thank you for allowing us to partner with you in developing our products.

    PUB team performed additional analysis and they are able to search users by name, see attached image 48162: Searching by user name. Could you provide screenshot of where are you searching for users?

    Also, Derby is provided for test and experimental purposes. You should not be using Derby for production data. Pls open a support case to get Db2 as a backend for PUB DB.

    We were unable to get a working connection to the main DB2 database as it is deployed on a separate server. PUB is using its own Derby database local to the PUB server. We are using basic authentication from JTS, so users appear in searches, but you have to search by ID, it is not currently possible to search by the user's real name.

    Thank you for submitting idea. PUB idea review board evaluated this request and determined it will need additional time to evaluate this request. Could you provide us exact use case/steps and how are you searching for users in the PUB? Are you using PUB DB or something else?
