Remember sizing of the script window

Context : When using Publisihing Studio to modify a RPE template, we add scripts in our templates. To edit the scripts, the editor opens a new window with two sides : one to select the used variables, and one to write the script itself.

Problem : This script editor window is quite small by default, the area dedicated to writing the script itself is less than a 28th of the laptop screen, by default. It is too small to work comfortably. The window can be resized to be larger, but when we reopen it, it is small again (it can be larger depending on the length of script, but the width of the window is always small ,the editing area is a 4th of the width of the laptop screen).

Impact :  It is very frustrating when using Publishing Studio, and prevents new users from comfortably adopting this tool.

Goal of the idea : improve the usability  and ergonomics of Publishing Studio

Why is it useful ? When editing a dta template, we are using javascript scripts very often. We run into this issue very often, and it reduces the adoptability of the tool.

How should it work ? We would like the tool to remember the last resize of this window, and to reopen this editor window at the last size when we closed it. It should also remember if we modify the size of the variables selector VS the script editor area (width of both areas). We would also like to be able to pin the editor window like the console is pinned, or the properties, or in the same area as the structure of the template.

    Hello,

As part of the review process, we strive to be transparent about our intentions with each enhancement suggestion. The IBM Engineering team has carefully reviewed this idea, and based on our understanding, it does not fit our near-term plans.
We understand you would like to keep the screen size, but on version 7.1 we have option "Open in editor" which open in full size.
Although we are closing this request, it will be kept in IBM's ideas repository. We value your feedback and thank you for allowing us to partner with you in developing our products.
