Improve consistency between Rhapsody UI and Rhapsody API

To fetch the main diagram of a model elements "getMainDiagram()" API shall be used. Documentation for getMainDiagram() API claims it works only for packages, classes, actors, use cases, objects, and interfaces. This works for all other element but not for objects. Whenever an object is created for a block, By default main diagram is set to "From Type", which is referring to the main diagram of it's Type. Now using getMainDiagram() return Null. This inconsistency between UI and API shall be improved.

    Hi Suneel,

    The issue is not with the implementation but with the API itself.

    getMainDiagram() returns null for object, though it has main diagram from it's class.

    Hi,

    Use this code to fetch the main diagram:
    IRPDiagram diag = obj->getMainDiagram();
    If(diag == null)
    diag = obj.getOtherClass();

    Regards,
    Suneel...
