Good to have a warning displayed in GUI while moving objects between classes

We noticed a general issue while moving objects from one class to another in Rhapsody.

This can be seen in "coffeemachine" sample model as well.

The Class "MachineTester" owns an object called "itsMachineTester". Its relationship is also depicted in 'Structural design overview' diagram.

If I move the object from one class to another class, then I expect Rhapsody to display at-least a warning. But the instance("itsMachineTester") simply disappears from 'Structural design overview' diagram without further warnings.

    Hi,

Thank you for bringing this potential discrepancy in object behaviour to our attention.

We agree that there appears to be a difference in how the tool handles misplaced elements within packages compared to class ownership. While misplaced elements within classes are correctly highlighted with the "misplaced" visual indication (black rounding and red diagonal lines), the same doesn't seem to be the case for packages.

We understand that consistency in behavior is crucial for a smooth and efficient user experience.

However, it is essential to log this issue as a defect in the support portal, as it falls outside the scope of enhancement requests. Consequently, we will be closing this Request for Enhancement (RFE). I will be coordinating with the support team and look forward to your support case.

    Regards,
    Suneel...
