IBM Sustainability Software - Ideas Portal

This portal is to open public enhancement requests against the products and services belonging to IBM Sustainability Software. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).

Shape the future of IBM!

We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Search existing ideas

Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,

Post your ideas
  1. Post an idea.

  2. Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.

Correct SysML Activity Parameter/Pin ownership

Systems engineers performing models-based systems engineering may have need to analyze object flow between activities. Currently the Rhapsody and RMM APIs show pins as belonging to the activity that owns a call behavior, rather than the call behavior action or activity it calls. This analysis cannot be performed properly currently I would like to see it changed to show the ownership of those pins as by the call behavior and consistent with parameters owned by the activity that the call behavior calls.

    Hi,

Our models enforce consistency between call behavior pins and activity parameters. This means any call behavior pin will have a clear corresponding parameter in the activity it calls. Additionally, we have model checks in place to identify any mismatches, ensuring model accuracy.

This consistency allows us to leverage APIs to efficiently retrieve the relevant activity parameter for a specific call behavior pin. This information can then be directly used to drive your analysis, streamlining the process.

In essence, our models provide a reliable foundation for your analysis by guaranteeing alignment between call behavior pins and activity parameters.

    Hope this information helps you.

    Regards,
    Suneel...
