Include Reverse Engineering (Populate Flowcharts) into the 64-bit version

Currently the reverse engineering is only available within the 32-bit version. But Rhapsody 10 is only available as a 64-bit version. That would mean that the reverse engineering option and especially the function "populate flowchart" is not available there. But this is really needed for a reverse engineering. So it would mean to install in parallel Rhapsody 9.0.2 (32-bit), then switch back to version 9.0.2, do the reverse engineering in this tool and then convert back to Rhapsody 10.

So this is error prone and so much effort that it is not really usable. Therefore it would be good to have this function also available for the Rhapsody 10 verstion.

Yes, that will solve our problem. So we can close this idea.

    Hi,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concern.

We do have the Populate Flowcharts capability in Rhapsody 10 for 64-bit systems.
However, you need to set the property as outlined in the help document below.

Please refer to the below IBM documentation link:
    IBM documentation :https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/engineering-lifecycle-management-suite/design-rhapsody[…]0?topic=options-creating-flow-charts-during-reverse-engineering

Creating flow charts during reverse engineering

Use the CreateFlowcharts property to have Rhapsody® automatically create flow charts during reverse engineering.

You must set this property before starting the reverse engineering process.

    About this task

You can use this feature to create flow charts for all operations in the code or for a subset of operations based on a number of possible criteria.

    Results

When the CreateFlowcharts property is set in advance, click Finish to initiate reverse engineering.
The flow charts are created as the code is imported.

Let me know if this addresses your immediate concern.

    Regards,

    Suneel...
