Improve Rhapsody Performance with large models

Current behavior

As well known in the comunitiy and also pointed out by some of our cases the performance of the Rhapsody client is not ideal, even more so when users create complex project ("big models") with e.g. 2000 units and more. Depending on the number of elements in the model, the loading time of such models can take several minutes, e.g. latest axample for case TS016164794 it takes between 4 and 9 minutes to load 5000 to 6000 artifacts. .

Requested change

Request: Rhapsody should load any type of model in no more than 1 minute

Change reason

Current performance is unacceptable and leads to delays, quality problems and user frustration

Further observations/information

Several alignments with IBM already done, not possible to improve significantly with workarounds

Idea priority High
Needed By Yesterday (Let's go already!)

    Hi,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. In the next release, we are working to improve how large models load. Loading a big model in under a minute usually needs server-level hardware, but we’ve added multi-threaded and on-demand loading to make Rhapsody faster and more responsive. You should see a clear improvement in the upcoming release. Please share your feedback after trying it out.
    Regards,
    Suneel...
