Similar to "Disable Logins" database login property, provide a "Disable Editing" to override all ordinary access controls when activated, until deactivated, when previous ordinary access controls are taking effect again.

Various tasks in the domain of administering a DOORS 9 database (server) may require to switch a database to read-only outside the ordinary access control management workflow.

Be it to freeze a specific state of the database / projects / modules or otherwise.

Currently this could only be achieved by explicitly modifying all existing access rights from X to read only. This poses multiple challenges including manual admin effort, DXL scripting, planning and securing the status quo for restoring it after the situation is over.

Even this can be done by removing inheritance and remove (temporarily) all access rights for that item, it is a good idea to have a quick button :)

But please note that the access rights are only applied by re-login or pressing (once) F5, so if the user do not re-login, she/he can go-on with her/his work....
So applying the changed access rights immediately is an additional topic!
