The idea would be to add the "Unique Value" check-box option to the menu for creating new attributes (e.g. General Tab) so to be able to restrict the entry data and avoid having duplicate values in the attributes (both for scalar and for strings).
This would be fantastic as it would limit the problem of creating duplicates from the beginning, thus avoiding to write scripts and/or add views for the control and integrity of the data entered in the module.
Of course, I understood this would be a significant change because it will have a booming impact due to required changes in attribute properties and the further implementation of additional functions in DXL. Hoverer, the effect it would have in simplifying the usage of the module would be likewise significant.
Are more then twenty years that I’m using DOORS and this feature was always missing!
