Multi-Window-Option

DOORS Classic Client can only open one window at a time. As users often need to compare values and data between different sections of a Module or Object-Properties, the DOORS Client shall be able to open additional windows of the same view/Module/properties-editor for much more user experience.

Currently the users need to create screenshots from the one view to compare with the other by opening the other window .. and this is nonsense.

Multiple, unblocking windows shall be possible for 

  • the same Moduleversion (Baseline)
  • the Properties window of different Items (Project/Folder/Module/Object/Attribute)

This helps additionally to optimize the Module-internal linking between objects, which are not close together.
The additional windows then can/shall be opened readonly, which avoids editing on both locations. -> Maybe the Shared Mode can be possible.
