Artifact Locking Information and alerts. TS018923797

Users are facing issues with the artifact lock functionality in the DOORS Next Generation product. We are receiving concerns that artifacts are getting locked by a few users, and when contacted, they mentioned that they haven’t manually locked the artifacts and have properly saved them. We have tested the scenarios and identified the following few situations in which the artifact gets locked:

Scenarios # 1

Edit the artifact

Break the internet connection for a moment

Close the browser

Scenario #2

Edit the artifact

Break the connection for a moment

Click "Done"

Scenario #3

Edit the artifact

Force close the browser

Please introduce a solution (such as sending an email reminder to users who have locked an artifact for more than the defined stipulated time)

Also Here user is expecting to have an indicator/comm/window pop up, that would inform users that the ''applied lock'' is not released yet. Because doing operation inside the module doesn't show user that the ''applied lock'' on module is currently ON. So it's possibility for user to miss that ''Module/artifact unlock'' is still needed. The module lock further creates issues by keeping entire module blocked for any data updation.
