Full Text Filter for Embedded Artifacts in IBM Doors Next Generation

Currently, the full text filter in IBM Doors Next Generation (DNG) does not support embedded artifacts as per mentioned in the support case, which limits the ability to search for relevant content within documents or other artifacts linked within requirements. Enabling the full text filter to work with embedded artifacts would greatly enhance search functionality, making it easier for users to find critical information within all related materials.

    Steps to Reproduce:

    1) Create an ArtifactA with Text.

    One Two Three

    2) Create ArtifactB with Text

    Four Five Six

    3) In ArtifactA, Edit, and in the main body, right click and select Insert Artifact and insert ArtifactB.

    4) Create a Module and add ArtifactA only to it. The content of Artifact B is then also displayed within the main body of ArtifactA in the module.

    5) Add a Full Text Filter for "Four"

    Desired Result:

ArtifactA is displayed in the results because Four is visually in its body because ArtifactB is embedded.

    Actual Result:

    No Artifact is displayed.
