Make remove filter vs remove view consistent and more intuitive

The new filter UI in 7.1 brings some good new features, but unfortunately the remove actions are still or even more confusing.

Situation:

  • In a module with some requirements
  • Create a view  e.g. defining visible attributes
  • With enabled view, add 2 additional filter criteria

Current behavior in collapsed mode:

  • The view is shown as one entry and then the 2 additional filters
  • Every entry shows a (-) symbol when hovering and there is the (-) after the "add filter" icon
  • Hover on the (-) of one of the two additional filters shows "remove filter" information and clicking it removes exactly this condition
  • Hover on the (-) of the view shows the same "remove filter" information, but clicking removes ALL filters and resets the visible columns to default
  • Hover on the overall (-) at the end of the line shows "clear all filters and reset columns" which is what it does - BUT which is the same as the "remove filter" on the view

Current behavior in expand mode:

  • The view is shown above the filter criteria
  • The filters are shown in the "all match" group (currently outside of "all match" group, but that's covered in known issue DT458274)
  • Hover on the (-) at the end of the filter rows shows "remove filter" and clicking on it shows first a changed red highlighted "remove" button and with 2nd click it removes exactly the 1 filter condition
  • Hover on the (-) at the end of the view row shows "remove view" and clicking on it shows first a changed red highlighted "remove view" button and with 2nd click it removes ALL filters and resets the visible columns to default

Expected:

  • In expand mode NO useless additional 2nd click to be able to remove a condition - if you like to keep the additional red highlighted remove, you could show that when hovering
  • Make the hover information consistent
    • between collapsed and expand mode (text, appearance, …)
    • to the action that is executed when clicking
  • Change the remove view action to only remove the parts included in the view, but do not remove all additional filters
