IDEA: [DOORS Next] Preconfigured Dashboard Template in Project Templates

Context:
In our company, DOORS Next is used as the main requirements management solution within the ELM system engineering platform. More and more projects are adopting DOORS Next, ETM and EWM to ensure traceability throughout the engineering lifecycle. For ETM and EWM, we can configure dashboard templates in the process using the Eclipse client, which allows us to provide preconfigured dashboards aligned with project usage.

Problem:
For DOORS Next, this capability is currently not available. When a new project is created, the dashboard includes default widgets that are not used by most of the projects integrated into the ELM platform and do not match their usage context. As a result, each new project must manually reconfigure the dashboard to access relevant widgets, useful links, or project information.

Impact:
Without preconfigured dashboards, onboarding of new projects and new users is slower, guidance and information access can vary, and the user experience across the ELM suite is inconsistent.

Goal of the idea:
Enable dashboard template configuration for DOORS Next, similar to ETM and EWM, so that standard widgets and useful project information can be provided by default for any new project.

Why it is useful? :
A preconfigured dashboard for DOORS Next would:
-  improve onboarding for new projects and users,
-  reinforce consistency and standardization across ELM tools,
-  facilitate consistent guidance and self-service for users,
-  improve access to project information,
-  enhance the overall user experience on the platform.

How should it work? :
DOORS Next should allow dashboard template configuration at process level so that standard widgets (e.g. information (HTML), useful links, ERM views, traceability table) are automatically deployed when a new project area is created.
