Make the Compare Configuration functionality and Report customizable

We have a lot of users who would like to compare their work existing work to older work in baselines. These users would like to export their progress  report in a PDF or Word file.

However currently the "Compare configuration" functionality only allows to compare all the changes made in a configuration and users have to delete content they do not need manually, for example existing comments. 
Our users want to compare on a module level a stream to a baseline or want to incorporate the view or the attributes they have been working with mostly in a comparison. 
This feature is missing completely and would enhance the usability and the efficiency of the comparison greatly.
