Instana Website Monitoring (EUM) integration in ELM

Instana's Website Monitoring captures actual browser request times and route loading times experienced by real users in real time. A small JavaScript agent (beacon library) is loaded asynchronously into the ELM web application. Every page load, route change, and backend call triggered by a real user is captured and sent to Instana as beacons.

The Instana JavaScript EUM agent must be injected into ELM's web application HTML pages. Since IBM controls the ELM product code, this requires a product-level decision by the IBM ELM engineering team to embed the agent. We cannot self-instrument the product we do not own the source code of

Requesting Instana Website Monitoring (EUM) integration in ELM. Once Instana JavaScript beacon agent embedded into ELM's web layer, we can configure a "Website" entity in Instana so that all user sessions generate beacon data automatically, with no further per-user configuration required.
