Rollback change sets once delivered to a stream

Reference TS001694122

Once a Change Set has been delivered to a stream there is currently no way to undo that delivered CS other than to create a new stream from a previous baseline. Doing this is very inconvenient and breaks processes with other tools. We would like the ability to remove a change set from a stream in a similar way to delivering a change set is done.

As part of the review process, we strive to be transparent about our intentions with each enhancement suggestion. The IBM Engineering team has carefully reviewed this idea, and based on our understanding, it does not fit our near-term plans. Although we are closing this request, it will be kept in IBM's ideas repository.  We value your feedback and thank you for allowing us to partner with you in developing our products.

I think this could be partially accomplished by starting a new stream off baseline1 ... called stream2 and then creating your new change set against that stream2. The unfortunate thing is that I think you'll lose all of the work done in CS1 as it's now marked "delivered" and no longer able to be opened or edited.

Maybe a corollary RFE would be to reopen delivered Change Sets, although I"m sure that comes with many caveats that would be discovered during the brainstorming process?

IBM has determined that this request is likely not to be the delivered in the next release, but the theme of this feature is within our strategy and product roadmap to be delivered in the next two years or two releases. IBM will determine if this request can be included in our plan or scoped out within the next year. Since strategies change in response to customer and business needs, we reserve the right to change our decision during an RFEs lifecycle.
