Shape the future of IBM!

We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Search existing ideas

Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,

Post your ideas
  1. Post an idea.

  2. Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.

  3. Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Allow customised export of ReqIF that includes artifacts linked from a module according to attribute value

This is useful for ReqIF practitioners who often have requirement to create ReqIF definitions of specific content. We receive many cases about ways to export ReqIF. In DOORS Classic it is possible to use DXL to dynamically update ReqIF definition, but that can only happen at module level. There is only the option in DNG to export by module or view.

For example, see the attached image. We would like to be able to choose a value for the column in Module A with values "For ReqIF" and "Not For ReqIF" and generate a ReqIF based on that. If the value of that column is "For ReqIF" we would like to include with Artifact 1 the two linked to artifacts (Artfact 3 and Artifact 4) in Module B. See the red outline for the content we would like to include in the ReqIF.
