Public API to Update/Merge se-lected Artifacts in different Streams

For a variant management application, we would need a public API that allows to:
- update selected artifacts or artifact types from a par-ent stream (trunk) in a second stream automatically.
- add selected new artifacts or artifacts of a selected type from the trunk to the second stream.
- remove selected artifacts that have been removed in the trunk also in the second stream
This could be part of a more comprehensive merge API that allows merging artifacts in 2 streams if there is no merge conflict and just flags artifacts that show merge conflicts.

    As part of the review process, we strive to be transparent about our intentions with each enhancement suggestion. The IBM Engineering team has carefully reviewed this idea, and based on our understanding, it does not fit our near-term plans. Although we are closing this request, it will be kept in IBM's ideas repository.  We value your feedback and thank you for allowing us to partner with you in developing our products.

    As customer I'm rather interested to know about the current status and further planned proceedings.
