Ability to duplicate the test artifacts when duplicating the test plan

Problem: When we duplicate the test plan, currently it has the option to link to the original artifacts that the original test plan links to. We are looking for an option to duplicate the test artifacts as well, when the test plan is duplicated.

We have a use case to reuse the test suites and test cases within the duplicated test plan. But, with the current option “Include links to same artifacts that the original artifacts links to” any change made in the test suite/test cases in the suite will be reflecting in the other test plan as well.

This is a valid use case scenario and is feasible within our two year plan. As a workaround you can Duplicate the Test Plan without links, and then duplicate the Test Cases from the original plan, and include links to the duplicates of the test artifacts that the original artifacts link to, and then associate the new Test Cases, with your new duplicate Test Plan.
