TCER Management Improvement

Test Cases(TCs) are reusable artifacts and designed to be used and reused in Test Plans (TP) and with various Test Environments. The TCER is the result of a committed Test Plan built for Test Exectuion. It is common practice to construct and reconstruct Test Plans adding and removing TCs leading to adding and removing TCERs that have been built already. When removing a TC from a TP that already includes a TCER, the improvement request is to remove the TCER automatically and this is a cumbersome but obvious necessary step. Dangling TCERs are not good and lead to confusion when processing. Hence system should prompt user to remove the associated TCER when a TC is removed from a TP

IBM has evaluated the request, and has determined that it can not be implemented at this time or does not align with the current multi-year strategy. This request may be resubmitted for consideration after 12 months from the date of decline. The request submitter will automatically be notified by email when the request qualifies for reconsideration and resubmission.
Note that removing TCERs that have already been executed would cause confusion to end users.

Are you familiar with this configuration option under Manage Project Properties -> Test Case/Suite Preferences?

"Automatically delete execution records and results that reference a test plan and that also reference a test suite or test case that is no longer part of that plan."
