ETM Reconcile Improvement for named Test Case

Current Functionality

When reconciling requirements in collections, test cases may be generated for requirements using the requirement name as the test case name. When using Link Validity, the test case is marked as suspect when the requirement name changes. As such, test cases must be manually updated and the Link Validity status reset to valid, which is time-consuming and error prone.

Enhancement

In the Reconcile Updated Items section of the Reconcile Requirements wizard, add two new row-level actions (supporting single or multi-selection):

Update Test Case Name: Update the test case name to the current requirement name.

Mark Link Valid: Enabled only if Link Validity is enabled, the link status for the test case and requirement link is set to Valid.

Benefit

Avoids the undesired, time consuming, no value added, but necessary manual effort to update to the TC name to align to the ERM Name. Improves quality of the system and ensure alignment where alignment is expected and desired while removing unnecessary overhead to accomplish the same.
