This portal is to open public enhancement requests against the products and services belonging to IBM Sustainability Software. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Right now we have the advanced property com.ibm.rqm.planning.service.integration.AttachmentUtilService and that governs all the attachments within ETM. It is by default 50MB and has a limit of 2GB.
If a user tries to attach something larger than that value, they are warned with:
File upload failed: The server or file upload service is not responding, or an invalid fully qualified file name was provided, or the attachment is larger than the maximum attachment size. To increase the maximum attachment size change the com.ibm.rqm.planning.service.integration.AttachmentUtilService property under the Advanced Properties in Server Administration.
The problem is that when it comes to automated scripts, the adapter can't attach and is not able to warn the JazzAdmin to increase that Advanced Property in order to be able to attach the file. It simply doesn't attach the file and creates the result without it.
The JazzUser when sees the result without the file, will need to re-run the execution. Since there are no error/warnings saying what happened (hence not increasing the Adv. Prop.), the user might see the problem again.
The idea here is to separate that Advanced Property:
- The current keeps working for the manual attachments (attaching to manual results, to test cases/scripts/plans, in-line attachments)
- Create a new Advanced Property exclusively for Automated Scripts. With that, we can set up a much higher value as we would "trust" that the adapter is attaching only the necessary files, avoiding results to have no required attachments.
The only workaround we have right now is to increase that value, but that would impact all other artifacts, allowing all users to attach larger files.
