Merge Configuration Detailed Change Summary

Tracking and reporting change is required by all Enterprise systems. ETM Merge configuration is quite useful at pulling in many changes from one configuration to the next. Most common use case is during test execution while managing test failures, making simultaneous edits to Test Cases and then merging all back into Test Execution stream.  Tracking and reporting on the change summary down to the Test Case, Test Script, Test Step attribute detail is necessary, especially for Functional Safety Compliance.

The Current ETM Merge configuration summary lacks detail. Please added it.

Indeed. The Merge configuration "Merge configuration summary", text provided at the end of the "Merge configuration" operation, at the top of that page, such as for example "All of the changes were resolved in the target configuration includes a count of each artifact type changed.

But this request is to provide a detailed report as to exactly what changed in each artifact. This feature exists now already in DNG compare configuration where the changes were formerly only GUI based, but latest version now includes reportable output. Of course, still missing is CSV/XL output is still missing. So best would be to consistently include CSV/XL reportable output to both DNG and ETM Compare Configuation.

When you write "Merge configuration summary", are you referring to the text provided at the end of the "Merge configuration" operation, at the top of that page, such as for example "All of the changes were resolved in the target configuration."? If not, please provide additional details. If this is it, then what exactly would you like that text to include?
