Enhancement Request: Support for Dual Category Structures in ETM Tool

Current Challenge: Users currently manage multiple relevant categories within their test cases. However, the ETM tool does not support grouping these categories in a centralized or user-defined manner. While an alternative approach—creating a main category with subcategories—has been considered, it requires users to select a main category before accessing subcategories. This workflow is not acceptable to our global user base due to its limitations in flexibility and accessibility.

Requested Enhancement: We request the implementation of two distinct category structures within the ETM tool:

  1. User-Defined Directory: A flexible directory where users can group and manage relevant categories according to their needs.

  2. Alphabetical Directory: A directory that maintains the existing alphabetical order for quick reference and consistency.

This dual-structure approach would significantly improve usability and efficiency for users managing complex test case scenarios.

We appreciate your consideration of this enhancement and look forward to your support in future development cycles.

Thanks & Best Regards,
Kondiba Garande, Amol (893) (EXT)
