Allow setting the external URI for categories directly during creation with the ETM Excel Import Utility

Hello,

When using the ETM Excel Import Utility to create categories and values in a project, the tool automatically generates the internal URIs for those categories. At the moment, there is no way to define or customize the “External URI” (or any custom URI) for the created categories directly from the Excel file.

This means that, after creating the categories with the Excel Import Utility, project administrators must manually open each category in the ETM Web UI and edit its “External URI” to assign the proper value. This is especially time-consuming when dealing with many categories or when synchronizing with external systems.

What I propose

  • A column in the Excel file where the administrator can specify the External URI for each category or value being created.
  • A corresponding property in the .cfg file to map that column to the External URI.
  • The ability to apply this during initial category creation so that categories are fully configured at once, without further manual steps.

Thanks!!
