Improve Normal or Rich Text Import in ETM with Excel

Hello,

Currently, when importing content into ETM with the Excel importer, any rich formatting is lost if the field is mapped in the cfg as normal column (just indicating the column), including basic line breaks are missed. This significantly reduces the readability and quality of imported data.

The current workaround is to use RichText, but this causes the content to be imported as a table. As a result, the field is displayed as a table in ETM and is also retrieved as a table in RPE reports, which is often not the desired behavior.

The proposal is to enhance RichText, or introduce a new option, so that formatted content (line breaks, bold text, lists, etc.) can be imported while preserving its formatting without wrapping the content in a table structure. This would greatly improve import quality and avoid formatting issues later in ETM and RPE reporting.

Thanks!!
