create multiple Test Case Execution Records, while keeping the same Iteration

Hello Team,


I would like to check if there is any workaround or alternative solution in IBM ETM to create multiple Test Case Execution Records (TCERs) for the same Test Case, using a different Test Script while keeping the same Iteration, test Plan and Test environment.


As per IBM guidelines, ETM allows the creation of multiple execution records when at least one of the three parameters—Test Script, Iteration, or Test Plan—is different. In my case, only the Test Script is different, while the Iteration and Test Plan remain the same. However, the tool is not allowing the creation of multiple execution records in this scenario.


Could you please confirm:

  • If there is any recommended workaround or configuration, or

  • If this could be considered a potential tool limitation or defect?

Your clarification on this would be greatly appreciated.

    We created a testcase with multiple testscripts in the sense of systems engineering to have the same topic in the same testcase. In that case it is regarding winter testing and the robustness of our steering system. Here we do the testing with the same iteration which is in our case the vehicle release. Therefore we would really appreciate the possibility to enable multiple testcase execution records with same test environments and same iteration but different test scripts. Please find attached a screenshot of the wrong implementation
