Enable Scalable, Multi-Instance Data Management for Envizi Partner Portals

Problem:

For partners who manage a large portfolio of clients within the Envizi Partner Portal, the current data pipeline architecture presents a significant operational bottleneck. The existing model requires a unique data pipeline, including separate SFTP/S3 bucket connections and security credentials, to be configured for each individual client instance.

This one-to-one relationship between a pipeline and a client instance is not scalable. For partners managing hundreds or even thousands of clients, the administrative overhead of creating, managing, and maintaining an equal number of data pipelines is unfeasible. This limitation hinders the partner's ability to efficiently manage client data at scale and acts as a barrier to onboarding large enterprises, such as property management firms, that represent numerous individual tenants or clients.

Proposed Idea:

Introduce a centralized, multi-tenant data ingestion framework at the Partner Portal level.

This solution would enable a partner to use a single, unified data pipeline to upload data for any and all of their managed client instances. The system should be designed to intelligently receive data, whether through a single file drop, an API call, or another bulk method, and automatically route the correct data to the corresponding client instance within Envizi. This would abstract the complexity of individual client connections away from the partner, allowing them to focus on data delivery rather than pipeline management.

We recognise the scalability challenge with the current one-pipeline-per-client model and agree this limits partner growth at scale. A centralized, multi-tenant ingestion approach is a strong direction to simplify onboarding and reduce operational overhead. We are actively exploring and designing options in this space, focusing on routing, security, and partner experience. A master EPIC is under review with the technical team for prioritisation, but no formal commitment has been made yet.
